Hamlets Scroll provides locally focused information, directories, calendars, listings, community content, and other resources.

Although we may review or moderate content, we do not guarantee that every listing, address, event, schedule, price, business hour, promotion, description, or other piece of information is complete, current, or error-free.

Users should independently verify important information directly with the applicable business, organization, venue, government agency, event organizer, or other source before relying on it.

  • The submission does not violate the rights of another person or entity.
  • The submission complies with applicable laws and these Terms.

Hamlets Scroll may edit formatting, categories, spelling, display fields, or placement as reasonably necessary to maintain consistency across the Services.

We may reject, remove, unpublish, recategorize, or request changes to a submission that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, inappropriate, duplicative, unlawful, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Services.

  1. Events, Offers, and Promotions

Event dates, times, locations, availability, admission requirements, prices, specials, promotions, and similar information may change without notice.

  1. User Content

“User Content” includes text, photographs, logos, reviews, comments, listings, events, profile information, and other content submitted to the Services.

You retain ownership of User Content that you own.

By submitting User Content, you grant Hamlets Scroll a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, maintain, and improve the Services.

This license continues for as long as the content remains part of the Services or is reasonably retained in backups, administrative records, or archives.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide this license.

We may investigate suspected abuse and take reasonable action to protect users, businesses, the Services, and third parties.

  1. Reviews and Community Contributions

Where reviews, comments, ratings, or other community features are available, contributions should reflect genuine experiences and should not intentionally mislead others.

Businesses and users may not use false accounts or coordinated activity to manipulate reviews or reputation.

Hamlets Scroll may moderate, restrict, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable community standards.

A disagreement with a review or opinion does not automatically require its removal.

  1. Intellectual Property

The Hamlets Scroll name, branding, logos, website design, custom software, databases, organization, original graphics, original written content, and other materials created by or for Hamlets Scroll are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, modify, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Hamlets Scroll intellectual property.

Third-party names, trademarks, logos, photographs, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

We may remove or restrict content while reviewing a copyright complaint.

Knowingly submitting a false infringement claim may have legal consequences.

  1. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, maps, social networks, payment providers, email providers, embedded media, businesses, venues, ticket providers, and other services.

Hamlets Scroll does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their:

  • Content.

Prices, billing periods, included features, and applicable terms will be presented when the paid service is offered.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and pay applicable charges when due.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, payments do not guarantee a particular number of views, leads, customers, sales, event attendees, or other results.

Additional payment, renewal, cancellation, or refund terms may apply to particular services.

  1. Suspension and Termination

Hamlets Scroll may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account or feature when reasonably necessary, including for:

  • Nonpayment of applicable fees.
  • Legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct that threatens users, businesses, third parties, or the Services.

Users may stop using the Services at any time and may request account closure through available account or support procedures.

Termination does not automatically require deletion of information we are permitted or required to retain for security, administrative, legal, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes.

  1. Availability and Changes to the Services

We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Services.

We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Maintenance, software updates, hosting issues, third-party failures, security incidents, network conditions, or other circumstances may affect availability.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Hamlets Scroll does not make warranties regarding:

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hamlets Scroll will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to use of the Services.

Hamlets Scroll is not responsible for losses resulting from:

  • Reliance on inaccurate or outdated third-party information.
  • Canceled or changed events.
  • Transactions between users and third parties.
  • Products or services provided by listed businesses.
  • User Content.
  • External websites or services.
  • Unauthorized access resulting from a user’s failure to protect account credentials.
  • Interruptions or technical failures outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Use of personal information through the Services is governed by the Hamlets Scroll Privacy Policy.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that information may be collected, processed, stored, and shared as described in that policy.

  1. Changes to These Terms

  1. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to the Services will be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any court proceeding that may lawfully be required to occur in Maryland will be brought in an appropriate court located in Maryland.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Failure by Hamlets Scroll to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce it later.

  1. Contact

Questions about these Terms, account issues, copyright concerns, or other requests may be submitted through the Hamlets Scroll Contact & Support page.
